Over Cups of Coffee

Confused about what to order, she starred at the menu list being displayed on the big LCD screen above. Thinking for a while, she said, I will go with your one.
This is what she did every time she met.
Conversations, coffee, and confusions were like the beads attached to the same string. She tried n tried to get over the dilemma that struck her day and night, but she was unable to choose one. Menu of these ‘Oh so international’ coffee shops were as confusing as her life. She never knew which one was for her. So, to know the taste that captivated her, she tried different flavours every single time she visited the place. But to her surprise, she never liked them. The cost and the worth never synced.
Whenever she went there, she had a feeling that her life would change over cups of coffee. She wanted to know more, talk more and understand more. But to her disappointment, nothing happened. When she conversed, she never connected. She either felt bored, or tired or blank.
Tired of visiting and sipping some, she was on the verge of giving up, when suddenly tea called her. She was pretty unsure whether to take the call or reject it. Over the years, she knew tea as a part of her lifestyle, a regular thing that she never paid heed to.
But now, when she was bored over coffee, she thought of giving it a try for the very first time to get away from her boredom and try something new yet known. She went, took and sipped. Refreshing and energetic she felt. Never in recent time did she feel so relaxed and easy. The starry sky, the moving vehicles, ringing bells, and calmness inside made her feel good. This was for the first time she connected; the conversations were real and those confusions faded.
No, not always ‘A lot can happen over coffee’, sometimes, tea wins the race.
