And then one day she suddenly saw her.
Awestruck by the way her best friend looked.
She tried not to recognise her first, but her 12 years
attachment was not less to ignore it.
Straight and silky hair tied in different way she had
never seen before, face had lost that innocence which was the best thing her
best friend had, eye lashes where not the original ones, lips were pouted and
bright colours were painted on it. Her best friend’s eyes had a wall of bizarre
coloured contact lense that made her uncomfortable to even glance at her. The
clothes her best friend wore were rags. A perfectly crafted body with some
heavy makeup on it, a different attitude and even a very different smile was
all her best friend had now.
Nothing she knew of her matched the way now.
Yes, her best friend has changed.
Long conversations, daily fights, kisses, hugs, playing
together, serving punishment together, sharing lunch, breakfast, pencil box,
copies, books and many more were the memories she carried in her heart for
years before this day.
A simple hi was also tough for her. She thought for a
while and turned back not to get noticed by the same girl who was once her soul
sister.

so true.....simple n short...touched my heart
